Manager: Yoel Strimling
Yoel has been spinning straw into gold for over 25 years, and currently works as the Senior Technical Editor/Documentation Quality SME for CEVA Inc. in Herzelia Pituach, Israel. Over the course of his career, he has successfully improved the content, writing style, and look and feel of his employers’ most important and most used customer-facing documentation by researching and applying the principles of documentation quality and survey design.

Treasurer: Ann Van Doren
Ann joined STC in 2013 and earned her CPTC certification in 2017. She has been a TESIG member since 2020 and currently serves as secretary for the TESIG Leadership Council.
Ann is an Administrative Assistant Editor at Leidos, an international engineering company. She lives with her husband, Ken, in Parker, CO.

Secretary: Alyssa Doubleday
Alyssa completed a Technical Communication MA at Boise State University and currently works freelance in healthcare and higher education. She cares about how design impacts people and loves to improve documentation and processes.
When off the clock, she bird-watches, plays with her four chinchillas, and eats Korean BBQ.

Membership Manager: Chelsea Fulton
Chelsea is a technical writer and editor for an international antivirus company. She lives in Charleston, SC with her husband, son, and three dogs. In her free time, Chelsea enjoys reading, watching murder mysteries, traveling, and wandering around her local Target.

Volunteers-at-Large
Fatima Hyder
Fatima earned her CPTC certification in 2017. She served as treasurer of the TESIG from January 2021 to November 2022; prior to that she served as the secretary.
She has worked in communications for 25 years, including 13 years as a technical editor for an environmental consulting and construction management company. Her previous communications roles have included handling member communications as a writer/editor for a nonprofit organization that supports libraries and working as a copy editor at two daily newspapers in Tennessee. She has also taught editing at the college level.
Susie McGowan
Susie recently completed a master’s degree in Technical Communication from Arizona State University, where a serendipitous change to her academic plan provided an opportunity to study Technical Editing. She was hooked and is currently transitioning into the technical communication industry by leveraging a background in healthcare and higher education.
Susie continues to take courses to develop her technical skills and is hoping to take the CPTC Foundation exam in 2023.
Susie lives in Narrowsburg, NY, located in the beautiful Catskills Mountains. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dog, reading, and watching holiday movies.
